Financially Independent

Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, how do we rob you? In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse-the whole nation of you-because you are robbing me.

Malachi 3:8-9

I realized the reason why it's hard for people to pay off their bills or be financially stable is because of their standing with the Lord. If you are in a relationship with God, you won't rob Him. Instead you would bring your first fruits to Him. It takes discipline.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:3-5 NIV)

We would be financially stable when we put our hearts in His. We would not be ashamed of how we mishandled money but rejoice because He has shown us the best way to handle our finances. Loving Him and paying Him reverence first and foremost and everything else will line up fantastically.

Volunteering at a science fair

Whoa! I am SO exhausted from volunteering a science fair for 2nd and 3rd grade students. I'm really am happy about the turn out of students interested in the rocket flying device I was supervising! :D

Pictures are below!

About 300 kids came to visit!
They were so excited!

The rocket launcher was a success!

I can't believe I'm in California. Every time I think about it, I have to verify by touching or looking at something like - "It's not the DMV!"

I just want to keep enjoying myself. I always wanted to visit here but actually experiencing the cool crisp winds...I'm enjoying the palm trees and relaxed people.

Stop being lazy and get back on it!

I realize that I always start things and never finish them, i.e.:
1. Lent: 40-day fast that ended after day two.
2. Working out: I spent $140 for a gym membership for three months...why am I being so lazy?
3. Eating right: I must eat M&M's everyday at work...its insane.
4. Studying the Word: I DO read the Word, but I tend to change it up, either early morning or late in the evening.  Either way, I'm too tired or too exhausted.
5. Studying Math Stuff: Well, so far, I've been practicing a lot of my old mathematics subjects to sharpen up for a lot of the programming I've been doing for work. I want to make sure I am sharp!

I'm not sure how I will fix all this but I will have to make a schedule.

Okay first thing first:

1. Lent - Requires prayer and thought.
2. Working Out: I'll start doing cardio (i.e. Elliptical : 45 minutes or Treadmill, Push-Ups, Sit-Ups - urghhhh!, Weights (yay!))
3. Eating right: Well, I started eating oatmeal in the I'll get better with the afternoon and dinner food.
4. Studying the Word: I think mid-day readings will help a lot. I'm more focused and able to internalize more when I'm most awake!
5. Math Stuff: Welp - I'll be doing this once I leave work.  I'll probably do this before working out at the gym.

I'll keep on keeping on.
